About Partagas Cigars

Like many of the Cuban legacy brands, Partagas has over a century of cigar making expertise. All beginning with Catalan born Don Jaime Partagas y Ravell. Don Jaime emigrated to Havana in 1831 and established the La Flor de Tabacos de Partagas factory in 1845.

Don Jaime bought several of the finest tobacco plantations in Vuelta Abajo, often regarded as the best land for tobacco in Cuba. He quickly gained a reputation for his skill of selecting the finest tobaccos and a natural instinct for aging and blending his tobaccos to make the best cigars. Unfortunately, Don Jaime was murdered on his own plantation in 1868, many rumors pointed to a bitter amorous rival. The brand and factory would change ownership several times over the years with numerous owners, including Ramon Allones, until it was eventually seized by the Cuban government in 1960.

From 1845 to present day Partagas cigars are still made at Partagas Factory, now known as the Francisco Perez German. Second only in popularity to Montecristo, Partagas holds the second highest sales of all Cuban cigars. This is due largely to their ultra-premium tobaccos and exacting processes for making cigars. To date, the Partagas brand has earned over 8 Top 25 Cigars of the Year Awards and over two hundred 90+ Ratings by credible aficionados.

While Lusitanias, Serie D, and Serie E are some of the most popular blends, Partagas fans now have a wide variety of high quality cigars to enjoy. Crafted by some of Cuba’s finest torcedores, Partagas cigars often exhibit richly complex flavor profiles with medium-full bodied strength. Heard enough? Hurry in and order your Partagas cigars today!
