Released in 1992, the Cohiba Siglo I commemorates the 500 year anniversary of Christopher Columbus arriving in Cuba. Though the Siglo line is officially known as the Linea 1492 line, it’s often referred to as the Siglo line. The smallest of the Siglo family, Siglo I is a fiery petit corona at 4 inches with a skinny 40 ring gauge. Don’t let this cigar's slim size fool you, upon lighting you’ll instantly discover a surprising amount of creamy, thick smoke with a fine and rich aroma.
Made in the historic El Laguito factory, this petite powerhouse drives a medium body and produces a creamy woodyness with deep notes of caramel, crackers, and a nutty finish. Generally the Siglo series is considered more mellow than the rest of the Cohiba portfolio, making the Siglo I a great entry-level cigar for a novice to Cuban cigars.
